Social Justice Committee Update

Thank you for participating in today's food drive for Food for Lane County! Today, we collected $106 dollars and 12 cans of food for donation! Because they can turn every dollar donated into 6 pounds of food for distribution, that means we have contributed over 600 pounds of food today for our community. Not bad for a bunch of busy, financially challenged graduate students!!

On behalf of the SALA social justice committee, and particularly Paula (thanks for organizing this, Paula), congratulations and thanks again to everyone!

Peer Mentor Program Committee

This committee is currently lead by Kate M. The purpose of the Peer Mentor Program is to match incoming students with upper level students (at least a 2 year gap) based on preferences (i.e., research and career interests, social identities, etc.).

Diversity-Building Scholarship

The University of Oregon Diversity-Building Scholarship recognizes both undergraduates and graduate students who enhance the educational experience of all students by sharing diverse cultural experiences. These scholarships are an integral part of the university's effort to meet the educational-diversity needs of its students, and they complement other programs in the UO campus diversity plan. This is a TUITION-REMISSION scholarship ranging from partial to full tuition and fee waivers.
